Baking & Pastry Arts Foundation (VCC)

Complete 11-month baking foundation certificate at VCC (or secure direct bakery hire)

STEP 2

Apprentice Workplace Hours (Levels 1 & 2)

Log 2,000+ workplace hours in commercial ovens and pass modular trade tests

STEP 3

Level 3 Advanced Technical Training

Complete 6-week Level 3 technical training school block

STEP 4

Complete 5,400 Work-Based Hours

Accumulate and submit 5,400 workplace baking hours to SkilledTradesBC

You can advance to head baker or bakery production manager overseeing staff and recipes.

You can also open your own independent sourdough bakery or custom pastry shop.
