What the job is like

Work takes place in municipal indoor aquatic recreation centres and public swimming facilities, as well as outdoor community summer pools, waterslides, and lake beaches.
Be mindful of slippery pool decks, elevated lifeguard towers, and humidity with chlorinated indoor air and follow all required safety procedures.
Lead lifeguard rotations, coordinate pool chemical checks, and direct on-deck emergency action plans.
Supervise aquatic department budgets, staff recruitment, lesson scheduling, and facility operations for municipal parks.
