What the job is like
Pay and outlook from WorkBC.
You weld and fabricate structural steel, pipe assemblies, and metal machinery in fabrication shops, shipyards, and construction sites.
Wear auto-darkening welding helmets to shield against UV arc flash and use ventilation to avoid toxic welding fumes.
You can operate an outfitted welding truck as an independent rig contractor.
You can also certify as a non-destructive testing welding inspector with the Canadian Welding Bureau.
