Program Overview

StudentAid BC pays this grant up front and you never repay it. It is for full-time students in programs under two years at BC public colleges and universities; longer undergraduate programs get a smaller amount. You are assessed automatically when you apply for a student loan.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Who qualifies

BC resident, full-time at a public college or university.
Low or middle family income; StudentAid BC decides from your application.
Certificate, diploma or degree program.

What it pays

Up to $4,000 a year for programs under two years.
Up to $1,000 a year for longer undergraduate programs.
Paid each term.

Deadline

Apply for student aid no later than six weeks before your study period ends. Applications open in June for the coming year; apply early so the money arrives at the start of term.
