What you need to get in
- Completed bachelor degree with an academic major matching a BC secondary teachable subject
- At least 65% on the prerequisite courses for your teachable subject (about 80% is competitive)
- At least 75 hours of volunteer or paid experience with young people; 100 hours with groups of 10 or more is preferred
- Completed recognized undergraduate bachelor’s degree (academic or disciplinary focus)
- Minimum 65% (or 2.50 GPA on 4.0 scale) average across 300- and 400-level coursework

- Apply through the UBC Teacher Education Office online portal by mid-January
- Submit official transcripts confirming teachable subject courses
- Submit two confidential reference reports from educators evaluating youth experience
- Complete written statement of intent reflecting on teaching philosophy and equity
