What a day looks like

Work takes place in acute care hospital diagnostic imaging departments, emergency trauma bays, and fluoroscopy suites, as well as operating rooms providing real-time c-arm surgical guidance for orthopedic and vascular operations.

Watch out for

Be mindful of exposure to ionizing radiation requiring strict alara (as low as reasonably achievable) adherence, dosimeter monitoring, and lead shielding and follow all required safety procedures.

Complete post-diploma advanced CT certification to perform complex cross-sectional angiography and emergency trauma scans.

Complete specialized post-diploma MRI education to operate powerful magnetic resonance scanning systems.
