What the job is like

Work takes place in outdoor alpine mountain resorts, ski slopes, and beginner learning zones, as well as exposure to freezing temperatures, blizzards, wind chill, and intense mountain sunlight.
Be mindful of risk of falls, collisions with out-of-control skiers, and knee/wrist/ankle sprains and follow all required safety procedures.
Earn higher certification tiers to teach intermediate and advanced riders, command higher lesson rates, and lead private camps.
Manage seasonal snow school recruitment, lesson operations, instructor training clinics, and department budgeting.
