What you need to get in
- Minimum 14 years of age for CASI snowboarding or 15 years of age for CSIA skiing
- Competent parallel skier or confident snowboarder on intermediate blue groomed trails
- Must provide personal ski or snowboard equipment, helmet, and valid resort lift pass for course days
- Minimum 14 years of age for snowboarding (CASI) or 15 years for skiing (CSIA)
- Confident parallel skiing or riding ability on all intermediate blue runs

How to apply
- Register online through the Canadian Ski Instructorsβ Alliance (CSIA) or Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI)
- Courses scheduled from November through April at mountain resorts across British Columbia
- Course registration fee of $552.98 CAD (Early) or $608.28 CAD (Regular) plus annual association dues

Ski and snowboard instructor course
β± 3 Days- 3 consecutive days (24 hours) of on-snow instruction, video feedback, and practical teaching workshops
- Step-by-step beginner teaching progression from first-time equipment fitting to linked sliding turns
- Class management, youth teaching psychology, and mountain safety rules under the Alpine Responsibility Code
- Personal riding analysis, stance balance, edging mechanics, and turn shape demonstrations
