  • General BC secondary school curriculum and coursework at the Grade 11 level.

Grade 12

  • Prerequisites: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Calculus, English, and Biochemistry

What you need to get in

  • 60 transferable university credits
  • At least 70% (2.80) on your last 60 credits
  • All prerequisite courses done in the last 10 years
  • Casper online situational judgment assessment score
  • Criminal record check through the BC Ministry of Public Safety

How to apply

  • Apply online through the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences admissions portal by early January
  • Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
  • Complete the Casper test before the specified institutional deadline
  • Participate in the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) evaluation if shortlisted (spring)

  • Years 1 to 3: Medicinal chemistry, pharmacokinetics, therapeutics, pharmacy law, and sterile compounding
  • Simulated pharmacy practice labs covering medication dispensing and patient consultations
  • Year 4: 40 weeks of full-time Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in community and hospital pharmacies
