- Registered apprentice with SkilledTradesBC and an employer sponsor or union
- Valid BC driver licence
- Registered apprentice with SkilledTradesBC and employer sponsor
- SkilledTradesBC apprentice registration
- Registered apprentice with SkilledTradesBC and union/contractor sponsorship

How to apply
- Secure employment with a registered commercial glass contractor or IUPAT glazing union
- Submit apprentice registration in the SkilledTradesBC portal with your sponsor
- Enroll in technical training blocks at BCIT Burnaby or the Finishing Trades Institute (FTIBC)
- Apply for apprentice training grants and Employment Insurance support for schooling blocks

Glazier apprenticeship
β± 6 Weeks per Level (3 Levels)- 3 levels of technical schooling (6 weeks per level, 18 weeks total)
- Glass science: float, tempered, laminated, low-E, and insulated glass units (IGUs)
- Storefront fabrication, aluminum extrusion cutting, and commercial door hardware
- Curtain-wall systems: stick-built, unitized panels, pressure plates, and backer rods
- Structural glass fittings, silicone waterproofing seals, and exterior swing stage safety
