How to apply
- Apply online through EducationPlannerBC to Vancouver Community College or directly to BCIT
- Cohorts start in September, January, and spring terms
- Provide secondary school transcripts and attend a departmental information session

Automotive technician foundation certificate
⏱ 30 Weeks- Automotive shop safety, lift operation, and hazardous fluid handling
- Brake systems: disc brakes, drum brakes, ABS hydraulic circuits, and rotor machining
- Electrical fundamentals: Ohm’s law, multi-meter diagnostics, battery service, and starting/charging circuits
- Steering, suspension, wheel alignment, and engine mechanical service
